Luke 18:15-17

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus took special notice of the children. In Luke, chapter 18, he explains why children are so important. Jesus is teaching to a lot of people, and blessing them when some of the crowd bring forward their children to be blessed. Jesus’ disciples try to stop them coming forward, but Jesus tells the disciples they are wrong in doing this. The children are the future of the Church and we must pass on our knowledge and faith to them.

Luke 18:15-17

15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
